Hugpong 2011 was organized by Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) which showcased the Kaizen projects of their different departments and service providers, including Asiapro.  Kaizen is a Japanese word which means “change for the better”.

Asiapro’s Team Kagawani was composed of coordinators from the Cagayan de Oro branch namely Daisy Cabello, Killy John Comique, Michael Tadlas, Christine Baya and Glory Ann Valmoria, and Training Specialist for North Mindanao, Christine Macatol.  The team won the silver medal in the jingle competition.

After winning in Hugpong 2011, Team Kagawani was invited to join the Regional Quality Circle Convention (RQCC) held in N Hotel, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City.  This year’s RQCC theme was “Enhancing Organizational Vitality through Future Development of Quality Circles/ Small Group Activities”.

Several prestigious companies in the region submitted entries in the Kaizen project and quality jingle competition. Team Kagawani won the silver plaque for Kaizen project “Upgrading Data Recording and Filing” and the gold plaque for the quality jingle “A Kagawani Song”.  The winning jingle was adapted from the Lazy Song by Bruno Mars with lyrics composed by members Laurice Amores and Christine Macatol.
