Global Development of Coops: ICA 300

Thinking “out of the box” and reporting to the cooperative movement and the general public, the global achievement of cooperatives that is snowballing growth, is responsible for an aggregate turnover of  $1.1 trillion US dollars in 2008.  The International Cooperative Alliance coined the GLOBAL 300 project, which allows cooperative leaders and managers to share their status and updates in the global listing of successful cooperatives.   

As a major “cooperative database” engine, it allows the general public, interest groups, and the cooperative movement itself to identify, document, evaluate, report, and ultimately understand the economic viability, as well as the social impact cooperatives play all over the world.
